The Royal British Legion have provided help to Service personnel, veterans, and their families since 1921. A veteran himself, Cy writes “the Poppy Appeal is a very important charity for me. The work they carry out supporting Veterans as well as service personnel in need, via the Legion (RBL), is phenomenal. Previously the RBL has been able to fund Recovery Centres around the country to help those badly injured back to health. The money finances residential homes, of which the RBL has seven across the country. Without this assistance, veterans, and service personnel, would be neglected or even worse, forgotten! Please support this year’s SDC Poppy Assault Event on the 7th Nov 2021 so we can continue to raise the much needed funds to keep backing our forces personnel and Veterans, including families whose loved ones have made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.”
